This will be Ranbir and Deepika’s third movie together after ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the first schedule of the movie was wrapped up in Corsica, France.

In the movie, Ranbir will essay Ved Sahni, a free spirited person who wants to spread happiness, and Deepika will play a comic book fanatic. They meet each other in Corsica, France, and from there they set off for an adventurous journey.

‘Tamasha’ is slated to release in December.

If we don’t see Ranveer Singh going on a signing spree in 2015 it isn’t because his last film Kill/Dill underperformed at the boxoffice. Ranveer is not looking at any other film until his current assignment is completed. At the moment his entire focus is on getting the historical character right in every detail.

Says a source from film’s core team, “It’s not just about shaving his head. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has made Ranveer get under the skin of the character.And that includes mastering the nuances of the Marathi language as spoken in the 17th century Maharashtra.” According to the source Ranveer who is a Punjabi and has lived in Mumbai all his life , knows the Marathi language.

“But the Marathi spoken in the 17th century is very different from contemporary Marathi. Ranveer is unlearning the modern Marathi dialect to learn the pure form of Marathi spoken in the 17th century,” says the source. Apparently the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is bowled over by Ranveer’s command over his character’s personality and speech.

“There are lengthy monologues which Ranveer manages without faltering.The actor’s level of dedication is exemplary.Between shots, Ranveer doesn’t allow any distraction. The masti-khor exhibitionistic that he is known to be , is not on display on the sets of Bajirao Mastani. Ranveer remains uncharacteristically quiet and erupts only when facing the camera.He doesn’t slip off into his vanity van when not facing the camera.And he barely exchanges pleasantries with the cast and crew...not even with Deepika,” says the source from the unit.

There is news in the grapevine that 'Tamasha' which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone has been postponed to sometime in 2016.

Tamasha was slated for a release around Christmas 2015 but it has now been postponed to sometime in 2016 and hence will not be clashing with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ or SRK’s next.

One of the reasons given for this change of dates is said to be Ranbir’s insistence on wanting some space between his releases. His movie with Katrina Kaif, ‘Jagga Jasoos’, is slated for release on 27th November and.hence Ranbir was not comfortable with Tamasha releasing within a month of it.

'Tamasha' is directed by Imtiaz Ali and will be Ranbir's second film with the director, the first being the superhit 'Rockstar'. However this is Deepika Padukone's maiden film with the acclaimed director. The plot of the film is said to revolve around a nomad (played by Ranbir) meeting a girl (Deepika) who is following the trail of her favourite comic characters and the two bond over their love for the same and become troupe artists performing ‘tamashas’ around the world.

Well for 'Ranbir-Deepika' fans, the wait to see the two together seems to have increased!

Deepika Padukone is currently in Kolkata shooting for her upcoming movie “Tamasha”. The movie also features her ex-boyfriend in a lead role.

The actress was spotted at the Kolkata airport shooting for the movie along with director Imtiaz Ali. She is sporting a yellow sweater with a floral print top and blue jeans. Simple yet sophisticated, don’t you think?

Last month, Deepika Padukone revealed that she was suffering from depression and anxiety. Recently, a leading daily published a report saying that not just the actress, but her beau Ranveer Singh was suffering from depression as well.

The leading daily had quoted a source as saying that the actor was having a tough time trying to come to terms with the suicide of a friend, who shot himself last year, minutes after putting up a status on Facebook saying he was going to kill himself.

The report read that Ranveer couldn’t cope up with the tragedy and even saw a therapist for a while.

The source was further quoted as saying that Deepika was his silent support at the time, and she saw first-hand how depression was a serious disorder, adding, "Perhaps that pushed her to talk about this issue. No one is denying that she too perhaps was going through the same thing, but her decision to address depression publicly had a lot to do with Ranveer and his friend who lost his life to the illness."

Ranveer has now slammed the publication on his Facebook page and said that “it’s an outright disrespectful imposition.”

“Talk about Monday morning blues. Picked up yesterday's paper and read this 'fairy tale' of my depression about an intensely personal tragedy. Much worse, it was shamelessly aligned with another person’s conflict and both these unrelated stories were made to connect for a sensational effect; deplorable to say the least. Figment of one’s imagination now taken to another level, in which there's a dramatic twist about a therapist too! Ludicrous! Obviously, the journo didn't bother to check the veracity of this 'news' with me or any one of my representatives- Appallingly unethical! Classic case of utterly IRRESPONSIBLE JOURNALISM. Is there any accountability? Or is the power of the pen now the terror of the pen?”

The actress confirmed the news and said it was an impromptu decision.

In an interview Tanvi said, “I play a role displaying a lot of strength and emotions, an exciting part. Yes, I have gone bald for the film. From the beginning of the film, I knew I had to go bald someday soon, but I never thought it would be so immediate.”

“I had initially thought I would shave off my head in April, but we were doing an exciting scene and I just decided to go bald that time. It was completely impromptu. I got good response as well for that,” she added.

The actress was also offered a role in Umesh Shukla’s ‘All Is Well’, but it went to Supriya Pathak because of Tanvi’s date issues and also her bald look.

It is said the filming of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ will soon start in Jaipur and about 40 percent of the shooting will be done in Amer Fort.

He added, "To make matters more interesting, there are also going to be songs where Ranveer is romancing Deepika and one where Ranveer will be seen romancing Priyanka, and another one starring all three! The Ranveer-Deepika-Priyanka number is going to be shot in a magnanimous scale."

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who surprises his fans with each film, says "unusual works" will back his next movie "Piku".

“The shoot for the PR of ‘Piku’ has begun and there are some most unusual works being done. Today we were a part of it along with Deepika (Padukone) and Irrfan (Khan). Unfortunately, I am not permitted to expose them here, but may I just say that they all look rather unusual and hilarious,” the 72-year-old wrote on his official blog srbachchan.tumblr.com Monday.

Big B will be seen playing the role of Deepika's father in the film, which is directed by Shoojit Sircar, and majorly shot in Kolkata.

Meanwhile, remembering the shooting days of 1976 drama-thriller film “Do Anjaane”, Amitabh also posted a black and white photograph in which he is shooting for the song “Luk chup luk chup”.

“This is Calcutta 1975 and the shooting of a delightful film ‘Do Anjaane’. ‘Deewar’ had just released the previous day of travel to the city and the reception at Grand Hotel and the city was phenomenal...getting in and out of the Hotel was an army operation,” he wrote.

“This moment was the shooting of a song 'Luk chup luk chup jaao naa...’ with the little kid. It was shot at the famous Botanical Gardens across the river Hoogly," he added.

Big B says he used to carry a camera with him to capture moments on shootings. In the photograph, he is seen clicking the crowd on the other side of the lake.

Shoojit Sircar’s Amitabh Bachchan-Deepika Padukone-Irrfan Khan starrer Piku has a lot of Satyajit Ray in it.

The film, a father-daughter story, derives its title from Satyajit Ray’s short film Pikoo’s Diary. Shoojit is, in fact, making a diary-like record of all the incidents and happenings during the shooting.

“For example, the first day of shooting was magical. India’s greatest star-actor with our most internationally celebrated actor, together with the actress who’s at the moment doing her best work....I felt blessed. I have the first day’s shooting and the other important happening on the sets on camera.”

One reason why Deepika Padukone bagged the role of the Big B’s daughter in Shoojit Sircar’s Piku is because she actually resembles the Big B’s real-life daughter Shweta Bachchan in height and even facial features.

Admits director Shoojit Sircar, “We didn't really think about it. But it’s true. At the time of casting I instinctively knew Deepika was the right choice to play Amitji’s daughter. My hunch was right. She actually looks and feels like his daughter.”

Apparently the actress who lately come into her own spent considerable time getting familiar with the script and characters.

“We were all new to one another, specially Irrfan Khan. He was working for the first time with Amitji , Deepika and me. All three main actors spent time gauging their own characters and that of the other two. Very soon they felt like a family,” says Shoojit, adding he was bowled over by Deepika’s dedication.

“She surrendered completely to the role. We completed Piku in record time as we had bulk dates of three of the busiest actors of the country,” says Shoojit gratefully.

Piku is a quirky comic father-daughter story. “It’s a film filled with sunshine.I am sure the audience is wondering what I am up to. Doing the unexpected comes naturally to me. That’s what I did with Vicky Donor. I can’t be repetitive. Piku is a quirky comedy, the kind that will bring sunshine to the audiences’ heart.”

The music is composed by Bollywood debutante Anupam Roy. Shoojit is looking at an April 30 release.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is in Jaipur shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Bajirao Mastani’ with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. The director was continuously shooting scenes after scenes, until his team gave him a birthday surprise when the clock struck 12 on February 24.

According to Mumbai Mirror, a cake was cut at midnight with the cast and crew singing ‘Happy Birthday’ for him. However, the celebration did not last long and they wrapped up the party soon to get back to shooting.

When the shooting finished on his birthday, SLB was taken on a surprise dinner by Ranveer, Deepika and the rest of the team to a dhaba. Even Salman Khan, who is shooting in Rajkot for Sooraj Barjatya's ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, was expected to join after pack-up.
